Everyone likes to be praised for something they have done well. Surveys have shown that one of the things an employee values the most is an acknowledgement when they have done good work. A simple thank you is normally enough but when they have done something above and beyond what is expected, then a personal letter or email would be especially welcomed. Being a valued member of a team engenders loyalty and worker satisfaction so don’t overlook the power of thank you.
